Le Crocodile Upstairs
Le Crocodile Upstairs is our new offering for intimate dinners, hosted in converted hotel rooms across the second floor of Wythe Hotel. These private dining rooms combine the hallmarks of Le Crocodile’s New York Times’ three-star dining experience within the privacy– and during this time of public health concern, safety– of an individual hotel room, just upstairs from the restaurant.
Menu & Pricing
Priced at $100 per guest, the Le Crocodile Upstairs menu is a 3-course offering (choice of 1 appetizer, 1 entrée and 1 dessert), with each guest selecting options from a near-mirror image of the Le Crocodile menu downstairs. Click here to view the most current Le Crocodile Upstairs menu. Bookings for these rooms require menu participation by every guest in the party. There is no lower priced menu option. Additional items are available if parties would like to add them to their experience.
Le Crocodile’s full beverage list is proudly offered; beverages are charged on consumption.
There are no additional fees attached to these bookings.
These rooms are available in two different sizes that can accommodate parties of up to 6 or up to 10 guests. Each room has a minimum party size required to book. If the size of the party drops below the minimum party size for the room type booked, they will be charged for the minimum party size of that room type (e.g. if a party of 8 previously booked in the larger room type becomes a party of 6, they will be charged as a party of 7.)
Reservations for these rooms can be made on Resy and are available up to 3 weeks in advance. A credit card is required to make a reservation. Any cancellation made less than 24 hours prior to the reservation will result in an automatic cancellation fee of $100 per number of guests in the reservation. (E.g. For a party of 4, a cancellation less than 48 hours prior to reservation would result in a cancellation fee of $400.)
Upon booking a reservation, the guest will receive a confirmation email which details the check-in process.
While there is no mandated duration of a reservation, rooms cannot be occupied later than 11pm. We do however require that parties place their food orders with their server no more than 30 minutes after their reservation time- as reservation times for these dining rooms follow a coordinated schedule with the kitchen.
Health and Safety
We have put together policies based on CDC and NYS guidelines for indoor dining in order to ensure the health, safety, and peace of mind of our guests, staff and community. We require that all guests review these before joining us, and we encourage you to reach out to us at email@example.com if you have any questions.
Contact tracing info is collected from one guest in each party prior to check in.
All guests are required to wear a mask in all public areas of the hotel, and whenever staff is present inside the private dining room.
Upon check-in, all guests will receive a temperature check. Any guest with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will not be permitted entry.
In addition to the updated HVAC certification mandated for indoor dining, each room is equipped with a HEPA air purifier that filters all the air in the room every 12 minutes. Guests also have the option to open the windows of the room.
What dietary restrictions can be accommodated?
The Chefs can accommodate most common dietary restrictions. Guests are encouraged to communicate dietary restrictions to our reservations team at firstname.lastname@example.org in advance if they have concerns or questions about accommodation.
Is the food menu served family-style or individually-plated?
The offering is designed as an individually-plated meal, but if parties would like to share dishes family-style, the server can provide guidance at the time of ordering.
Do any menu options need to be selected in advance of the reservation?
No selections need to be made in advance of the reservation. Guests will select items off the menu after being seated. If so desired, guests have the option to pre-select specific food or beverage options, but any pre-selections are subject to changes in market availability.
Can a Le Crocodile Upstairs room be reserved for any of the upcoming holidays?
Yes, rooms will be available to book for the holidays three weeks in advance of the date. Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve will all feature unique menus.
How long can a reservation stay in the room?
There is no specified duration limit for these reservations, but the room must be vacated by 11pm, and there is no option to extend past this time.
Is there a sound system in the room?
Each room has a Bluetooth speaker that guests can pair their phones with, to play music of their choice.
Can a party bring in outside décor (e.g. flowers, balloons, place cards, etc) or have access to the room prior to checking in?
Unfortunately, outside décor or early access to the room is not possible with these dinner reservations. For parties that are looking for a more programmatic event, we would encourage you to reach out to our events department. More information on events offerings at Wythe Hotel can be viewed here.
What is the corkage policy for these reservations?
The corkage fee for wine is $35 per bottle, with a limit of 2 bottles (Magnum-sized bottles are considered the equivalent of two bottles.) Corkage only applies to wine; outside liquor is not permitted.
